Badgers Hopping Hare
Summary:
3.9
I was bought a ‘Set’ of Badger Ales by a friend for Christmas and Badgers Hopping Hare was the first one out the box. Badgers Hopping Hare is light, refreshing spring ale. Hops are introduced twice to the brewing coppers for full bitter and aroma flavours, followed by a generous helping of Styrian Goldings added later in the brewing process for extra crisp hop aroma.
Badgers Hopping Hare
Commercial Description: This ale is light amber and copper in appearance and smells fruity with accents of hop and cereal. It has a light carbonation tastes crisp and sweet with spicy overtones.
Arguably I drank this in January so it was the wrong time of year but i was a little disappointed. I expected something less subtle with more of a hoppy punch. Perhaps this is best saved as a refreshing summer drink.
Badgers Hopping Hare has a low carbonation, low flavour and left me feeling a little low. Its not a bad Ale but just a bit disappointing.
Aroma: Bready, mild grassy hop
Taste: Cereal Grains up front followed by slight bitter hops and a dry finish.
Strength:
4.5% ABV
